A Vitamin is a natural particle (or related arrangement of atoms) that is a fundamental micronutrient that a creature needs in little amounts for the best possible working of its digestion. Fundamental supplements can't be combined in the creature, either at all or not in adequate amounts, and in this manner must be gotten through the eating routine. Vitamin C can be integrated by certain species yet not by others; it's anything but a vitamin in the principal occurrence yet is in the second. The term vitamin does exclude the three different gatherings of fundamental supplements: minerals, basic unsaturated fats, and basic amino acids. Most vitamins are not single particles, however gatherings of related atoms called vitamers. For instance, vitamin E comprises of four tocopherols and four tocotrienols. The thirteen vitamins required by human digestion are: vitamin An (as all-trans-retinol, all-trans-retinyl-esters, just as all-trans-beta-carotene and other provitamin A carotenoids), vitamin B1 (thiamine), vitamin B2 (riboflavin), vitamin B3 (niacin), vitamin B5 (pantothenic corrosive), vitamin B6 (pyridoxine), vitamin B7 (biotin), vitamin B9 (folic corrosive or folate), vitamin B12 (cobalamins), vitamin C (ascorbic corrosive), vitamin D (calciferols), vitamin E (tocopherols and tocotrienols), and vitamin K (quinones).

Vitamins have different biochemical capacities. Vitamin A goes about as a controller of cell and tissue development and separation. Vitamin D gives a hormone-like capacity, controlling mineral digestion for bones and different organs. The B complex vitamins work as catalyst cofactors (coenzymes) or the antecedents for them. Vitamins C and E work as cell reinforcements. Both insufficient and overabundance admission of a vitamin can possibly cause clinically noteworthy sickness, albeit abundance admission of water-dissolvable vitamins is more averse to do as such.
